[Full Name] Eret Snow [Nicknames] Son of Eret, Greatest Dragon Trapper Alive [Age] 20 [Gender/Pronouns] Male; He/Him [Affiliation] Dragon hunters [Rank/Occupation] Dragon hunter/trapper, Fisherman [Alignment] Neutral Good
[Personality] Eret is a young man who is quite the confident sort. He carries himself with an air of great pride and that he has nothing to lose. He has more than had his fair share of battling the rough seas and handling ferocious dragons. He has come out with few scars and recovered from attacks he has gotten from the job. As a result, Eret feels he is quite a capable individual with a high amount of luck on his side and the gods shining their grace upon him to have avoided serious injury. His confidence and pride easily show just how big of an ego Eret truly has, to the point it is better called overconfidence in his abilities.
Odd as it might be however, Eret is quite clever and surprisingly compassionate. He is young and fairly energetic, having since trained his body and mind to handle most stressful situations and take whatever life throws at him. He does hold a deep admiration for life and shows at times he is willing to help others and expresses a kindness not always seen among trappers. He is also pretty clever, Eret having over the years learned to think up strategies on the spot and improvise with situations, especially traps and combat when things seem to get out of hand.
Eret has also shown himself to be quite the charmer and smooth talker. He knows for sure he's a good looking man, and quite frankly isn't afraid to flaunt what he's got. He's got the looks and the skills, and he can back up his big talk for sure. He knows how to spin words in his favor and is pretty decent at reading people, if just enough to work things in his favor at all. To a point, Eret shows himself to be manipulative, but only when he deems it necessary and seems like it would do him good to do so.
Lastly, Eret is a risk-taker by any definition. He will make a move or deal for the good of his career, his men, and his pride. He always takes on the worse of storms and willingly throws himself into danger regardless if his life is at stake. Eret also knows when to take risks for the sake of necessity, especially when it comes to making a living and surviving, to which he will make no hesitation to throw everything he's got to get something done.
[Backstory] Eret hails from somewhere beyond the Archipelago, somewhere far north which can be seen from his attire. He has grown up in cold, harsh conditions and has had to grow up fairly quickly to not only survive but thrive in any shape or form. Eret came from a long line of dragon hunters and trappers, born to an esteemed trapper within his village. His father was rather strict however, even to the point of being somewhat abusive but more so mentally and emotionally. And Eret's mother at some point passed away in his younger years, barely even recalling her face today.
From a young age, Eret was raising how to fight and hunt, learning the ways of trapping animals, ranging from small to game animals and would later move up to hunting dragons. He became quite knowledgeable in the use of traps and was taught how to use swords. Unfortunately, it was a rough many years to learn his lessons. When he did wrong his father rebuked him harshly, pressing his son to go beyond his limits and often not entirely aware of the pain mentally Eret felt.
Seeing no other choice, Eret became completely devoted to the life of a hunter and trapper, and gradually worked his way to handling the boats. Eventually, Eret began picking up on skills and lessons quicker than when he was younger, deeply concerned for his father's approval who he eventually earned. But it never ceased to stop the pain he felt for failing so often in his younger years, causing him to hold some resentment towards his father as he got older. But, a time came when Eret was a teenager that his father became employed to a man by the name of Drago, a hulking viking man that made even Eret fearful.
Under his employment, the father-son team and their crew had to bring the psychopathic man a certain quota of dragons every few weeks. But the demand became so great, it eventually caused his father to end up killed when he failed to bring the full amount three times in a row despite pressing Drago to see his demands were too high. Eret witnessed the murder of his father and slipped away while he could along with a small crew of men not wishing to deal with Drago yet again and meet a similar fate.
Thus, the past three years, Eret has made it his goal to make his own path and prove himself greater than his father in all ways he can think of. And so far, he has certainly done enough to earn a reputation of his own.
